It’s been a great couple of days for Team Radiant Vibes and me in Tirana, Albania!
Our first night in town, one of the girls realized her wallet was misplaced while travelling from the States. What started as an unfortunate circumstance transformed into an eventful night full of adventure. Here’s what transpired:
“Girls! I can’t find my wallet…I think I’ve lost it…I don’t lose things normally…”
I watched as her 3 teammates stopped their current activities and started talking to God on her behalf. They asked Him to resolve the situation, to bring peace, to take away stress. There was something so powerful in their words. They showed kindness, support, and love simply by their actions and words. Why don’t we all do that more??
Steps were taken to locate the wallet. We stood by in humility as a Internet Cafe worker blessed us with access so that we could contact the airlines. Then, when we stopped by a local store, the owner blessed us with some sodas for the rest of the team. The night didn’t end there. After meeting up with the rest of the team, the 5 of us went to a local bakery where we met a local girl who welcomed us to Albania.
Not 10 minutes later, we found ourselves in a prayer meeting with a local church. We sang American melodies with Albania lyrics. We spent the rest of the evening with them hanging out over a meal, laughing and sharing life together.
All of the fortunate events from the evening started with a single unfortunate event. When we arrived home late that night, we couldn’t believe everything that had happened. We were so full of joy and gratitude.
I can’t wait to live out all the stories God is going to write in each of our lives this year. He is a great Author and He brings so much adventure to my life.
