Daring to Dream
As I’m running down the narrow cobblestone streets, heart pounding, I look up and see one of the most breathtaking views I have ever seen. This is it. This will be my spot. A panoramic view of white houses cascading down the hill, pointing toward the ocean, is all the eye could see. The sky was a perfect deep blue with fluffy, pure clouds moving across the sky. The sun shined brightly, bouncing off the glassy sea, as
if knowingly boasting that this was the Mediterranean.
Am I really here? I have left all that is loved and familiar again to pursue the dream that is deep inside. First of all, I want Love to permeate everything I do. I know that I can live that anytime and anywhere. So why did I leave my family, friends and the ER, again? Well, I am taking a step of faith . . . a step of faith to reach for those dreams; the dreams some are afraid to utter because they are so grand.
Can I really make a difference? Can I really address injustices and global health issues of the world, and actually expect to make change?

Well, that is why I came to the G42 Leadership Academy. I believe that this is a season where God will show me what he has for me, and show me what I need to do to be prepared. I am willing . . .
I don’t pretend to know what it will look like. I am an open book, ready to be written. I don’t know what life will hold after Spain, and I find that so exciting. My life is God’s, and I have no shame about that. I have seen the only way to fully live, is to die to yourself, and there you find love, acceptance, and freedom.
