As I focused on keeping one foot in front of the other, sweat dripping and quads working, I wanted to stop.   I could hardly believe I was climbing two hours up to the top of a volcano, but something was determined to make it to the top (to roast marshmallows on the lava!)  😉 Volcano Pacaya was beautiful that day, majestic as we looked out from it to view another volcano and the green lush valley.  “God, I feel so blessed to do this and to see your creation from this view.”

It reminded me of the 11 months ahead.  It will be a climb, not a race.  There will be hard times and wonderful times.  There will be times I will look out and see the beauty, and reasons for it all.  Other times I may be climbing but all I can see is the rugged path ahead .  But I have decided no matter the ups and downs of the journey, I will press on; I will press on towards the prize.

We are done with Launch and leaving for Puertos Barrios tomorrow at 10am.  These five days have flown by and have been absolutely amazing.  This morning something really hit me hard.  We listened to a quick excerpt from Graham Cooke and he said something similar to these words, “We have decided to be the storytellers and not the hearers of miracles.”  I just started crying.  I want to be a storyteller of Truth.  Watch the video below to listen to more of the challenging words we took to heart today, or if it doesn’t work copy and paste the link below:

I am not sure how often I will have internet access after we leave tomorrow, so for now I can tell you that we will be doing construction and speaking at our new site.  I am excited to meet our contact and the people in the area!  Please pray for us as we travel and learn our new home for this month! 🙂

Love, Christina
