If you haven’t heard yet, you should know that when you become a World Race missionary you enter into the craziest journey of your life. It’s scary and thrilling, heart breaking and one of the greatest joys, physically taxing yet physically rewarding, but beyond any of that it tries and builds your faith in ways I personally never thought possible. Everything within me says God can do this but every now and again doubt whispers in my ear asking how is it possible? How is God going to get $2,800 in a matter of days? How are you going to get all the equipment you need for the race? All of the “what if’s” begin to plague me. When these attacks come sometimes I feel hopeless and weak but in the midst of all my questions and doubts a still small voice whispers “Am I not the Creator of the universe? Did I not provide for every mission trip I called you to go in the past? Am I not the same yesterday, today and forevermore? Trust in Me your provider.” I realize that doubts and questions will come and it scares me that I don’t know how God is going to provide for this race but I know I can trust in Him that He will never fail me. He has brought me this far after all, I don’t think He’ll just decide to drop me now. Questions and concerns are the norm for a World Racer but it’s our faith in our God that keeps each of us moving forward. The only reason I’m not panicking this very moment is because I realize that this is in God’s hands and I can trust in Him because He is faithful. God I believe, help my unbelief.”
