HAIR. It’s not just hair, as is often described by men. For women, it’s more than hair. It’s my identity. It’s my image. It’s one of the first things people notice about me. It can be the difference between a good day, and a bad day. I’ve always put a lot of thought and emphasis into my haircuts… usually playing it safe, which always made more sense to me than ending up with a hairdo that didn’t look good.
So i don’t really know what I was thinking when I decided I was going to chop 10 inches of my hair off for
Locks of Love . It’s a program where you give 10+ inches of your hair to be made into a wig for cancer patients. A good cause, no doubt, which has ultimately secured my decision. If it was just for the sake of a certain style, I’m sure I would have talked myself out of cutting a whole 10 INCHES off… but since it is for a good cause, I
have to go through with what I committed to do! Besides, I’m moving to Manila. Having long hair just doesn’t make sense in the hot, humid weather. Right? (This is me trying to convince myself)
So it’s with a LOT of sadness and hesitation that I say goodbye to my long hair….

And hello to my new hair, 10 inches later….

A new hairdo for a new chapter in life! Watch out world… here I come!
