Although my countdown is currently clocking in at 28 days, I feel as though I’m really operating on a second countdown, which ultimately ends on March 18th, three weeks before I actually leave. Because from now until March 18th (just over a week), life is pretty normal. Normal as in, similar to what I’ve been doing the last eight months. After the 18th, however, it gets crazy!
March 18th- 24th: Host Jeff Long, Director of New Faith Family Children’s Home (the orphanage I will be working at in Manila) This week will be spent all around LA, Orange, and Riverside County… enjoying fellowship, meetings with pastors and other churches, as well as some college campus visits.
March 24th- 31st: Chi- Town Baby! Off to the city i L-O-V-E to celebrate Sarah Lapp’s birthday, World Race Reunions, eat lots of amazing Chicago food, and most importantly… see Danny and Colleen get married!!!
So that basically leaves one week. April 1st through April 7th. And even that week is pretty booked with last minute visits and such. I guess my point is that a month is a pretty decent amount of time. But like many months that look like mine does… it will be over in the blink of an eye!
In other logistical news… I wanted to let everyone in on my phone number for the next year or two. I went ahead and got myself a Skype Monthly Membership, which allows me unlimited calls to America for one monthly fee. Along with that I was able to get a personal phone number and voicemail system, for all of you to be able to call me! So… NO excuses!
Here’s the number: 951- 817 – 7210
And here’s how it works: You call the number. You get charged the same price as if you were calling me on my American cell phone, because it’s a local Riverside County area code. The call is routed through Skype and reaches me through my computer. If I’m there, I can answer the call on my computer. If I’m not there, or I don’t pick up, it will go to my voicemail, where you can leave me a message!! Basically…. it’s like you’re calling a regular phone… only difference is that I’m in Manila on my computer, and you aren’t having to pay TONS of money for an overseas call. Pretty sweet deal!!!
So add the number to your cell phone now and plan on calling me later! 🙂
That’s all for now!
