Proverbs 16:9
Luckily, as with most times in my life, worrying wasn’t necessary. The Lord had a purpose in us coming here, and he was able to use our obedience to accomplish many things here in Panamá City. The first five days of our seven here, were filled with a lot of dead ends. During those five days, we learned what wasn’t going to work. We learned where we couldn’t stay, where they didn’t need us, and where not to go. Dead ends. But like any good maze, you turn around and you try the next path. So we did. And on day six we had a breakthrough.
We met Carmen from Crossroads Church. It seemed as if everyone who we met kept pointing us in her direction, and when we were finally able to sit down and chat with her, it quickly became apparent why that was so. Carmen was able to give us over ten different contacts for our time here in Panamá. In a matter of an hour, we had all the information we needed to begin contacting these people and setting up ministry for our squad.
So we are pretty excited about our upcoming three weeks that we will be spending in Panamá City. Of course we don’t know everything at this point… that would just be way too easy and very un-WorldRace. But we have a direction, we have contacts, heck–we even have a place to sleep! And as always, the Lord will take care of all the other details.
Thank you Lord for determining our steps!
