I guess I’m never in one place for too long. So it’s time I head off to the next place. Eight of us world racers- Aaron, Krystle, Jenn, Lindsey, Jackie, Cameron, Brandon, and myself–will be leaving tomorrow morning to travel further south in Costa Rica to a city called Bamboo, and then the next day or so, four of the eight of us (myself included), will be continuing further south to Panama to do some set-up for next month. Our debrief for Costa Rica will start on the 19th of this month, so we have about eleven days in total before we have to be back.
I am excited to go and to do some set-up, which I’ve been looking forward to all year, but I’m also very sad to be leaving because there are a bunch of fun things going on during these eleven days, including three birthdays– Colleen (11th), Megan (13th), and Molly (16th), as well as the long-awaited arrival of our long lost teammate Sarah Lapp on the 15th.
Deciding to go to Panama was a very hard decision. I’ve probably gone back and forth fifty times during the course of today… in fact, I still may not even be 100% there yet. But unless God prevents me from going… that’s the direction I’m headed.
I’m REALLY sorry Megan, Molly, Colleen, and Sarah L… I am SO excited to see you and celebrate with you all once I return on the 18th. You are all amazing. Happy Birthday and Welcome HOME! 🙂
