Just wanted to write a quick post to let everyone know that I’m on an island right now in the Philippines, celebrating Jesus’ birthday with my family and my family for the year!

Other than the fact that it doesn’t really feel much like Christmas at all, sleeping thirty yards from the ocean, hiking waterfalls, and living in my bathingsuit– it’s been great to be with these amazing people. It is more about who you’re with than where you are. I miss a lot of people from home. I miss my friends and I miss my traditions, Christmas Eve with my other family 🙂 But God is worthy of my Christmas more than my traditions.

I will be here with my family till tomorrow, then we will head back to Manila for the night, and I will drop them off at the airport on the 27th. Then I will pick up Molly and the debriefers and head right back here to the island. Then, on the 30th of December all of us will go back to Manila to celebrate the new year. And then, on January 2nd the September Squad will pack our bags as light as we can (40lb limit haha), and head to Hong Kong.

We will be in China from January 2nd till the 30th. And just so you all know, communication in this area will not be allowed because of safety reasons and jeapordizing any of the people we will be working with. So although I won’t be posting any blogs, sending any emails, or skyping anyone during this time–be sure to send me emails! I will love getting them when I get back to internet access.

I love you all and miss you. Merry Christmas to everyone back home and a Happy New Year!
