Well it’s Friday, which means that we are officially at the
half-way point of training camp. We’ve been here for 7 days and we have 7 days
left. Yesterday evening the rest of the September World Racers arrived at camp.
It was weird for them to actually finally arrive, because we’ve all been
anticipating the moment when our whole team would be together for such a long
time, but it is good too and I’m excited. I think it will take a little while
before we really feel like a team; I mean of course it will take time, which is
only natural. It will be cool getting to know everyone.

On another note, we finally know when we are
leaving—September 15th at
7AM
from the ATL. Beyond that, I don’t really know at all. In fact, that might not
even be true; I just heard it from a fellow world racer. I even tried to look
flights up online to see maybe what our itinerary might look like, but I can’t
seem to find anything. Oh well.

I’ve
pretty much gotten used to taking it one hour at a time anyways because we
never know anything in advance.

Now I guess it’s time to get to the

good stuff. Overall, I guess I would say that training camp has
gone pretty well. I’ve gotten to connect with some fellow September racers,
bonded with a few of my teammates, and have experienced some cool things as
well at our training seminars. I’ve enjoyed most of them and have been able to
work on some individual issues before heading out to go minister to others.
It’s been a great process.

The last couple of days have dealt with more hot button
topics. I’m not going to get into them specifically, but I would ask that you
pray for me in regards to these new things that I am seeing and hearing and
that the Lord would speak

His Truth
to me about these issues. The bottom line for me is always the bible. I believe
it is the ultimate Truth and is God’s word so there is really nothing more
important than that. A few new experiences have been a little confusing and
unsettling and I just ask that my prayer supporters would pray specifically for
discernment, team unity, and that God would speak His Truth in this situation
in a way that would be so blatantly clear to me.

Sorry about the vagueness, but I don’t think it is necessary
or fair that I should expand on this for right now. Other than that, I think
the next couple days we will be focusing on team building activities now that
our teams are here. I’m looking forward to it—even in the humid

Georgia
weather. So hopefully I will have some more time to post another blog before I
leave, but I do want to let everyone at home know that I love them and miss
them—and I appreciate your prayers and comments more than you know! Even though
I may not have been able to respond quite yet, they are sooooo encouraging and
I’m so thankful! Keep ‘em coming!!
