I’ve been trying to think
of an interesting topic for my first blog. I’ve read a bunch of current and
future world racer blogs and I realized that I have much to live up to in the
world of blogging… or at least in the world of WR blogging. I am a blogging amateur,
I will admit it. In fact, I think I might have already said the word “blog” too
much in these first few sentences.
Anyways, I couldn’t think
of an interesting topic for my first blog. So I guess I’m just going to go with a little glimpse into my life at the moment. Sooooo I hope
that will do for now.
I
thought senior year was supposed to be relaxing and fun. Well, I am having fun,
but I still am really busy. Monday through Thursday I am pretty much going non-stop
from morning till
8pm
with school and
work. So my roommate and I decided to make Saturdays an official event: “Fun
Exercise Saturdays.” We enjoy working out, so why not make it fun and do stuff
like long bike rides to Panera, run to Jamba, or get some people together and
play some game out on the front lawn… just fun versions of exercise instead of
running around the block like always. Well, Saturdays ended up becoming “Work
Saturdays” and “Sit in class Saturdays,” and we only ended up having two “Fun
Exercise Saturdays” the whole semester. Lame! And Sundays of course consist of
church, Flip Flops (childcare at church), and then usually doing homework or
spending time with the family. So my only free days are Fridays. I don’t know
if anyone else shares this with me… but you know how when you’re so busy and
tired all the time that when you have one day off to get things done you end up
doing nothing? Well that’s a typical Friday for me. I call it “Unproductive
Fridays.” That’s my week to week life right there. It’s pretty monotonous. I know…
the exact opposite of what my life will be like come September. It will be a
nice change.
I’m finding it hard to keep
up with everything on my plate right now. I guess I’m having a hard time
balancing everything. I read the first chapter of “The Art of Listening Prayer”
the other day. Forty-five minutes to set aside each day huh? Yep, I need to
find balance! I need to get to bed earlier so that I can wake up earlier to
make sure I have those forty-five minutes each day. I need to spend less time
on the internet and more time reading my bible. I need balance. I need
diligence.
Graduation is in one month.
That could be a whole blog in itself so I’m not going to really get into that,
but I guess I’m hoping that things will get easier once I graduate, since I
will have more time on my hands. But we all know how that goes… I need to
balance my time now, not wait for more time.
Anyways, I think this has
been a long enough blog. Is it okay to babble on in blogs? Because I think I do
that a lot. Oh… one last thing… I just want to say that I hope everyone has an
amazing time at the training. I am not able to make it due to it being the last
few weeks before graduation and just not having enough advanced notice because I applied so last minute. I am really sad to not be able to meet everyone and
participate in training. I hope everyone has an amazing time and some great
learning experiences and I will be praying for everyone! I am so excited to
meet you in a few months!!!
God Bless!!!
