Oh hey guys. I didn’t see you there at first! Ummm…I just wanted to stop by and give you a little update on what’s going on; partly to explain why I’ve been so silent the past month or so and partly to let you know what’s coming up in just a couple weeks now so that you can (if you wouldn’t mind) be praying for me.
I am finishing up week number 7 working in Roberts, IL as we speak. Please click the link below to see how much of a “town” Roberts is. Feel free to zoom out and see how far away Champaign is (the town we actually sleep in).
I just feel like the map gives you a good picture of the desolation that engulfs Roberts (population 400). BUT, the point is that this is my last week up here and I anticipate NEVER seeing this place again in my life after tomorrow!! It’s hard to communicate how exciting that is to me. 19 weeks out of the last 8 months have been spent up here (which blows my mind). Anyways, this would be a big part of why I have been so silent the past month. We’ve been working quite a few hours and then the hours that we haven’t been working have been used to squeeze in some time with those that I care about. God has definitely been doing a lot of work in me over the past month though and I’m excited to have some time here soon to share some of that with you.
The other reason I wanted to jump on here and blurb real quick is that I wanted to remind everyone that my Training Camp is coming up here in just a couple weeks for the World Race! It is July 2-8 and the anticipation has just been growing in me these past couple weeks for the crazy stuff that I know Jesus is going to do at this camp as He prepares us for our year ahead. So I just wanted to see if I could get you all praying that God would really continue and intensify His preparation in me for this adventure He’s invited me on. I’m getting more and more excited and anxious each day to get this show on the road!!
