Sunday, March 24th (Pretoria, South Africa)

God: Christel, you are letting go of everything and giving it to me, but there still is one thing you aren't giving to me….your boyfriend

Command: Give Jan and your relationship to me and do not communicate with him until you get to your next country.

OBEDIENCE

Thursday, March 28th (Capetown, South Africa)

God (while praying for my fundraising): Give me control of your money. Give me the budget you have created for yourself this year.

Command: Give $1,000 to your boyfriend's support account

OBEDIENCE

Friday, March 29th (Capetown)

God (upon hearing a talk about us being spiritual orphans from one of our spiritual coaches, John Cava): Christel, you have a problem with obeying authority. You believe you need to be in control and therefore you get frusterated when someone else makes a decision for you. You find faults in anyone who is leading if it isn't you.

Command: Talk to your team leader. Tell her how much you appreciate her and admire her for what she has been doing. Let down your pride and let her into your life.

OBEDIENCE

Saturday, March 30th (Capetown)

God: Let yourself be free.

Command: Dance in the worship talent show this evening. Let everything go.

OBEDIENCE

Saturday, March 30th after I danced

God: Give me your food

Command: Fast tomorrow lunch and dinner on Easter

OBEDIENCE

Easter Sunday, March 31st (Capetown)

God: You need to show respect and honor for the men in your life currently. You need to submit to them as the spiritual leaders in your life.

Command: Split the $1,000 I told you to give to your boyfriend and give half of it to him and the other half to your male squad leader for his support acount.

OBEDIENCE

Easter Sunday, March 31st (Capetown)

God: You still have extra South African currency (RAND) that you won't be needing because you are fasting the rest of the day.

Command: Give the rest of this money to your two female squad leaders along with a note thanking them for their work. Apologize for not respecting them and honoring them as your leaders as much these past months.

OBEDIENCE

Easter Sunday, March 31st (Capetown)

God (During our squad's easter service in the middle of worship): You have not been looking at the men on your squad as spiritual leaders. You have not been giving them the honor and respect they deserve as Christian men.

Command: Invite the men to come up to the front. Kneel before them and confess to them how you have not been honoring them and respecting them. Tell them how much you appreciate them and how much you want to learn from them.

OBEDIENCE

Do you know what happened after I surrendered everything to God and these guys? Our spiritual coach, John, got me a chair. He had me sit in it. Then 6 men lifted me up in the air and the rest of the men surrounded me.

He said "WE SUPPORT YOU AND WE WON'T LET YOU FALL".

They brought me down and I hugged every guy on my squad.

These words were what God needed me to hear from Him. That He supports me and that He won't let me fall. As I let more and more things go throughout my week (and three months), I let more of God into my life. As I let more of God into my life, I became more obedient. As I became more obedient, I found more freedom.

This week has been about obedience and the freedom that comes from it. So many times I think that peace and blessings come when I am free in my own choices and make my own decisions. But God keeps reminding me that I can never really know what is best for me. He is the one who knows. When I choose to trust what He tells me to do, I find more peace and blessings than I could have ever created on my own.

I challenge you today to let go of the things in your life that you need to and let God in. Respond to His commands and show your obedience to Him. He really does know what is best for you.
