Let me tell you that before going to my World Race training camp (more information on that to come), I did not believe any of this. I believed that the Holy Spirit spoke to me in my thoughts and guided my path, but not that He would lead me to physically heal someone. I logically understood that Jesus physically healed people in the bible, but that is not something I have ever experienced before.
I got to training camp and immediately I started hearing people talk about praying for physical healing. I was VERY skeptical. That was not the kind of talk I grew up hearing nor did I learn it in my recent mission work. During the week, I watched more and more people being healed and praying for people to be healed.
Experience 1:
One day, I felt the Spirit tell me to pray for one of my squad mates who was having back trouble. I laid my hand on her along with a few others and we started to pray. As I was praying, I felt this RUSH of heat go through my hand/arm. It was so intense that I thought I was making it up. As we were assessing how she was doing during the prayer, she asked us whose hand was on her back. I told her it was mine (although I was almost questioning myself at that point). She said she felt something really hot on her back and that was the only hand she could really feel.

Let’s Pause. WHAT?! SHE FELT THE HEAT THAT I FELT IN MY HAND? No way! That was the beginning of the Spirit teaching me how He can use me to heal others.
