Hello Everyone!!

I hope that everyone had a wonderfully BLESSED Thanksgiving!!

I wanted to take this opportunity to attempt to share what my life in Africa has looked like!!

I hope to convey that this life lead in Malawi is one of simplicity and happiness.  Their needs are met, listen to me not their wants but their needs!!  They are the most hospitable people I have met in all of my life!!

My team and I travelled around to villages for the month of November.  In one of the villages a family moved out of their home so that we could stay in their home.  They cooked our meals everyday and would not allow us to clean our dishes or do any work.  They continued to tell us that we were blessings to them and that it was their honor that Americans would come all this way to care about them and spread the love of Jesus Christ!!

The ladies of the village presented us all with a beautiful piece of material.  Let me explain the culture here is take a beautiful piece of cloth and tie it around like a sarong to serve as a skirt.  I can not even fathom the sacrifice this was for them to share such a special gift.

The goal of this blog to make us think of the blessings that God has provided us as Americans.  We could truly write all day regarding all the blessing HE has given us.  But the important part that I have learned while on the World Race is not to allow those blessing to become hindrances in our relationship with Christ!!  HE is the provider of all of our needs!! We need to accept the blessings He provides and not feel guilty but make sure and give HIM all of the glory!! What a wonderful Father he is!! I am humbled daily that HE, the creator of the universe, loves me like no one else!!

During this holiday season take a moment to count your blessings that God has provided.  Take a moment to think of the people that bless you everyday.

On a side note, for those of you living where there is cold weather and snow please enjoy it for me!! I miss it so much!!

Miss and love you all!!
