I have to say that God blessed me with an uneventful trek to the Dominican Republic. All my flights were on time and everything went very smoothly. We even got through immigration without any problems. We then boarded a bus that took us on a 25 minute ride to our new home for this week at least. I have to say that it was pretty exciting that the bus had air conditioning. It has been great to be reunited with everyone since meeting them at training camp.
We were given the assignment today to go to the grocery store and purchase food for lunch today and tomorrow as well as breakfast in the morning. Which sounds like an easy task but remember we had to remember the currency exchange rate (For those of you that know me really well know that math is NOT my strong point)!! Anyway we finished our grocery trip and had peanut butter sandwiches and oreos for lunch. Exciting times!! The rest of the squad arives tomorrow so please keep them in your prayers!! It will be truly exciting for all 75 members of the P squad to be together to serve our Heavenly Father. Thank you all for your support and prayers!! Keep in touch!!
