We were asked to write a blog about how we were called to this mission trip. Here is my story...

I have known since I was a teenager that I loved serving people and spreading the love and grace of Jesus Christ but I can’t believe that I have been blessed with such an opportunity.  As to how I found out about the World Race, all I have got to say is my Heavenly Father is amazing!! I knew God was calling me to serve him in a different way than I had been, so I was making plans to move back in with my parents in order to be able to make changes in my everyday life.  After a morning of moving my furniture into storage and my belongings into my parent’s home, we all went to eat lunch at a local pizza place.  I went up to the counter and saw a prayer card for a girl going on the World Race.  I had never heard of the World Race so I took a prayer card and went home to check out the details. I fell in love with the opportunity instantly.  I felt like it would be a good opportunity to have a glimpse of 11 different countries as well as many different ministries to spread the love and grace of our heavenly father.  I then applied for the World Race and was accepted.  The application process was very thorough as well as very organized.  The communication from Adventures in Mission was amazing!! I am still amazed at how God works everything out.  I can’t believe that the prayer card was there and from that little seed that was planted, I am now going to be serving God in 11 countries in 11 months. I have learned this lesson many times in my life and will be reminded of it many more times… My heavenly father has everything planned out for my future if I will just take some time and listen for his quiet voice…
