So I knew that fundraising would be hard and that it would challenge me in many ways. But I never expected to receive the support and love that I have been so freely given. People that I never would have expected are giving much more than I could have possibly asked for. There have been so many cool stories!! From the teachers that I work with getting together to help me raise over $200 (and we all know teachers don't make enough to be handing out money) to a student in my 5th grade reading group making signs with the word "TRUST" on them to sell for a dollar, I have been blown away. God has shown me that He will take care of all of my needs, now and always and He will even provide for my wants every now and then too! I am happy to say that I currently have $6,575 in my World Race account and I just wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone who has helped me so far and another big THANK YOU to everyone who will help in the future. God has proven Himself in so many ways that I am no longer able to doubt that this will happen and that He's got me covered.
There have been two times in my life that I have really needed to feel like God had everything under control and both times He has shown up with impressive style and I can just feel Him saying, "Christa, I got you." It is an amazing feeling to be able to rest in those words and take comfort in His power and love 🙂
