About me? A strange subject for me to describe. I am mostly aware of myself, but to tell others is odd.
I am 31 years old and the first born of three children to my wonderful parents, Bruce and Katie. My two younger siblings are Clay and Cory. They have brought into our family two beautiful wives, Jackie and Ashly respectively. They have also given me a niece and a nephew, Luralie and Oliver (also respectively). Fact: those are the two cutest kids you will ever know about.
I grew up near a small town called Gause, TX. I say near because we lived in the country. Now, I would consider myself to be a country/outdoorsy girl; however, I am not redneck or small town. Most of my childhood days were spent trekking through woods, building forts, digging holes, three-wheeling, playing softball, or swimming. And of course, hearing about Jesus. I'm a PK on the small level – my dad was my youth minister. So I got to grow up in a christian community.
I tried college for a while, but it definitely wasn't for me.
I have spent the last 8 summers of my life serving at a church camp near Austin, TX. Now my days are fairly similar to my childhood days. I am outside a lot. I like to hike, camp, fish, stand up paddle board, climb, etc. One of my favorite quotes is by Lord Byron: "There is a pleasure in the pathless woods; There is a rapture on the lonely shore; There is society, where none intrude, By the deep sea, and music in its roar: I love not man the less, but Nature more."
I might be one of the pickiest people you will ever meet. That is not limited to food either; I've been described as being "picky at life". There is truth to that statement; it does not, however, limit my life. I don't like to live in "cages". I'm open to new things, and willing to try just about anything (morality upholding) once.
I like to read books often. Good music (relative term) holds a strong place in my life.
Above all, since I was 20 years old, I have been in love with Jesus. Even more fiercely so within the last four or so years of my life.
