All it took was me deciding to go on the World Race and he became a Stage 5 Clinger.  He won’t leave me alone.  A few weeks ago he wrote me a song.  Last weekend he gave me a picture.  Last night he followed me to church.  Today he sent me an e-mail and a handwritten letter.  I used to be pretty good at blocking him out.  I became a self-proclaimed excuse expert, but all it took was letting down my defenses one time and now he won’t take “no” for an answer.

Lucky for me, “he” is the ultimate Provider, King of Kings and Giver of unending love.  Every time I have needed reassurance and strength in the last month, God has been there to hold my hand and give me peace.  He met me in my car while I was driving to spend one last weekend with my oldest friends.  He eased my sadness and told me to turn off the radio, open my mouth and sing praises to Him.  Last weekend He gave me rest as I sat at an overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway and took pictures of His perfect creation.  Last night He revealed my passion and gave me words to speak over a youth group.  Today He ended my frustration with my growing “to-do” list through an encouraging and assuring e-mail from my wonderful squad leader.  As if all that wasn’t enough, He later met me at my door with a powerful letter from one of my rock star teammates.

Praise the Lord; He won’t EVER leave me alone.

Thank you Lord for never giving up on me.  Thank you for standing beside me when I turn my back on you.  Thank you for easing my doubts, giving me rest and providing all of my needs.  Thank you for your never-ending love.  Thank you for blessing me with a squad and team that pours into me everyday.  Thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve You these next 11 months.  To Your name be all the Glory.
