Dear Family and Friends,
I hope this letter finds you well. I wanted to write you to let you know about some new things that are going on in my life. Graduation last May was bittersweet. I had the diploma, but I had no idea what I wanted to do with it. My heart was longing for something bigger than the plans I had made for myself, but I was unclear on what my next step should be. As persistent as He is loving and gracious, the Lord has not given up on me. Over the past 8 months, God has been working to tear apart my plan and replace it with His own. He has put a great adventure on my heart and it is time for me to leave my comfortable life in Charleston to follow Him.
On October 1st, with little more than a tent, a pack and a Bible, I will join a team of believers on an 11-month mission trip around the world. Through Adventures in Missions’ World Race Program, I will travel to 11 countries spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ. While I will be trading in my business attire for my much-preferred t-shirt collection, little else about this journey will be comfortable. On the World Race my team and I will partner with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, minister to victims of human trafficking and, ultimately, help further His Kingdom.
This decision has not come without doubts and fears. More faithful to me than I am to Him, the Lord eases my concerns with scripture. John 15:16 says, “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit- fruit that will last.” Just as the Lord provides me with His word, I believe He will also provide me with financial and prayer partners on this journey. It is my hope that you will consider partnering with me as I take this leap of faith.

My final request is that you help me cover this journey in prayer. Pray for the health and safety of each World Racer. Pray for my strength and determination to follow the path God has created for me. Pray for the unity of my team. Most of all, pray for the hearts of all the people we encounter, that they may feel the presence of God and experience the power of His everlasting love.
I am so thankful for this opportunity and blessed beyond measure to have had people like you in my life these past 23 years. There is no doubt in my mind that I will walk away from this a changed person, and it is my prayer that you will also be blessed through this process. I look forward to sharing in this adventure with you.
