As a media team we are called to serve with our gifts of story telling.
We are able to use a different medium to reflect Christ around the world and give a peak into invisible lives. We feel called to a ministry of speaking up for those who can not speak for themselves talked about in proverbs 31:8.
The other day we really felt led to lay down our cameras, packs and heavy equipment.
We wanted to get to the heart of why were here in the first place which is to love people and listen to their stories.

Jeff had felt led to go and just play with some kids and hey, how can you go wrong with that idea.
After praying we made our way to the city market place.
As we entered I noticed a young boy helping an older women open her stand.
I felt the lord pushing me to go and talk to him.
As Jeff, Erin and I greeted them we asked them if they needed help setting up shop.

Hanging up displays around her shop and speaking poor Spanish, I just had a heart for this woman named Candalaria.
She reminded me so much of my grandmother Mary with her giving spirit.
I remember thinking that at the very moment she gave us a hackie sack she had made.
As Jeff and I rushed off to play with her nine year old grandson named Bryan, I observed Erin reach out to Candalaria.
As we went off to play like kids, Erin was able to just get to know her with what broken Spanish she knew.
Gods language of love surpasses all barriers and the Lord used Erin to share presence and space with her.
Isaiah 28:11 says with a slurred tongue and stammering lips his people will hear his word.
It was amazing to see how the Lord used Erin and her gift of prayer in intercession to connect with Candalaria.

I’m finding the essence of love trapped in the hearts of saints ready to be released.
We want to capture this not only on film but in our souls.
It starts with community, friendship with genuine kindness and care.
Tomorrow we are going back to that market place and I can’t wait to just spend time with them and hack it up in the name of the Lord.
Who knows, maybe we’ll get a hack and join more in our circle.
