Hello everyone!
This message is to inform you of my
present mission opportunity in Spain. I recently filled out an
application for funding for Reimage Church in Greenville, NC. The
application asked some great question, and I thought it would be an
efficient way to inform all of my friends of what I am doing and why.
If you have any questions or comments, please don’t hesitate to message
or email me. So here are the questions and my answers. I hope you here
my heart. Please prayerfully consider partnering with me. I am truly
seeking a group of people that will commit to walking with me through
this journey. I am not seeking just financial support because none of
you are under any obligation to give to me. I in no way want to guilt,
manipulate, or beg you for money. That is not what this is about.
Again, I am prayerfully looking for a group of people who truly want to
partner with me to spread the Gospel of Jesus around the world,
discipling the nations, sincerely seeing lives changed as He has change
mine, and bring God’s kingdom to earth.
It is long, and I apologize, but I want to be thorough.
Briefly describe why you are asking for funding.
I recently finished an 11 month trip to over 11 different countries all
over the world with Adventures in Missions. On this trip, we partnered
with a wide variety of ministries and organizations which further
deepened my passion and desire to give my life as a living sacrifice to
Jesus. I want to serve Him and live for Him in all I do. G42 Leadership
Academy in Mijas, Spain is affiliated with Adventures in Missions, and
the trip I was on, the World Race, has become a feeder program of sorts
to G42. The school is a 6 month “program” specifically for leaders or
any of us hoping to influence this world for Christ. Within the 6
months, we will delve into many important topics such as covenant,
grace, community etc… We will also be challenged to branch out into the
local community and personally get involved with the local church or
start some type of outreach or ministry to a specific group. For
example, one of the interns has started a coffee house outreach with
street outreach to the prostitutes in the larger city just minutes from
our village. Currently there are about 20 interns attending G42. We
live in two houses learning what true community is and living out what
we are learning in class i.e. service, selflessness, forgiveness. We
are learning to live as the body, dependent on one another and growing
in our gifts and skills. G42 also strives to teach great character,
self-discipline, self-government, and excellence in all we do and say.
The funding that I am asking for would go to the cost of the leadership
academy itself including: food, lodging, books, school fees etc… It
will also go to fund local practicum and outreach. Finally, the funds
will be used for me to personally reach out in some capacity here
locally in Mijas or perhaps, to venture to an already established
ministry here in greater Western Europe. All personal ministries are
under the authority of G42 and funds go through the school.
The
Reimage Church mission statement says, “We are a diverse community of
Christ’s follower’s changing our world ” How does your request for
funding relate to this mission?
This request coincides with your
mission statement exactly. The Leadership Academy was began by an
Englishmen, Andrew Shearman, his daughter, Rebecca, and son-in-law,
Dave Hearn who recently left 10 years in the Air Force as a Major to
help start the training school. Throughout the 6 months of training, we
will be taught by various men and women from both the US and Europe who
are doing ministry all over the world. Currently attending G42, are
interns from the US, Canada, and Spain. G42 Leadership Academy truly
seeks to impart a global perspective and understanding of the kingdom
of God. Each intern is challenged to dream God’s dreams for the people
of this world, to make a plan, and to go unto all the world to preach
the gospel of Jesus Christ, to bring light into dark places, and hope
to the hopeless. G42 seeks a diverse community of Christ-followers who
are passionate, creative, awake, dangerous, free, and most importantly
unified. G42 is not another program, but is a place where one is
genuinely challenged and equipped to go. Many of the interns already
have specific passions toward a particular country, people group, or
region such as: Haiti, Cambodia, Myanmar, Morocco and other North
African countries, India, Canada, the US, Eastern Europe, and Africa to
name a few. Honestly, it is quite amazing just to be apart of this
school. The potential and passion in the room just in these first
couple of days of class is staggering.
What Results do you
expect if you receive funding from Reimage/Club52? (Example: If you are
asking for money to help fund a missions trip, your expected results
might be: We expect to minister to the lost and share the gospel during
our trip to Dominican Republic. We will provide medical care to the
needy and for orphanages).
result of many things. I believe this is the tipping point to a life of
ministry and service for me personally. I will be challenged, pushed,
and equipped like never before. As I mentioned before, we spend much of
our time living out what we learn in the classroom. Your funding would
greatly aid in outreaches we do as a body, as well as, the personal
ministries that I am involved in. I haven’t yet decided what my
personal ministry will be, but some of my passions include: men’s
discipleship, adventure and hiking, bar ministry, homeless ministry,
drug and alcohol abuse, and sport ministry. Perhaps, I can put together
something that reaches many of these groups of people. In general, your
funding will be pouring into me personally both presently and in the
future to live a life of worship not only sharing the gospel but living
it out daily.
