Hola amigos, we made it to the Dominican Republic safely and we have had a fairly smooth transition back into community life. We are currently staying with Miguel who is a full time missionary here in the DR through Adventures in Missions. Throughout this week we are engaging in the new culture and exploring the city of San Juan. We are also spending alot of time as a squad training and preparing with the WR staff and our coaches. Next week all the teams will be sent to their specific ministries for the rest of the month. My team will be staying here in San Juan helping do physical labor a few miles from our current home.
We are having a great time here. We actually found a outdoor basketball court right near our house were we have spent a good amount of time playing with the young people. They seem to really enjoy us just playing with them and loving on them.
Well, I want to quickly say thank you to all my family, friends, and supporters who have sacrificed and encouraged me to make such an amazing opportunity possible. I love each of you and I truly hope we all do our best to communicate and uplift one another.
I gotta run but I hope to blog again in the next day or two.
