GOD is faithful. If you believe and trust in his word and promises he will see them through as he says in the bible:

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11)

What many people forget is the road you have to take to get to those promises. During this time the Israelites were driven away from their home into the hands of babylon. GOD had promised he would save them, but they were going to have to wait. The Lord had declared that it would be after 70 years of captivity in Babylon.

All throughout the bible people had to wait and faithfully walk forward to receive those promises. Sometimes it can be tough, scary and other times amazing, as I have come to find out first hand.

When my mother first told me the news that she was getting married and was planning for us to move away to Cypress from Kingwood, I was hit by a freight train of emotions. I didn’t want to leave Kingwood for my senior year and I heavily questioned GOD. I was angry that I would have to leave my friends and rugby team. I was uncomfortable with the fact I was leaving home so abruptly, but he told me not to worry and that he had a plan.

A while after my family and I moved to Cypress. I was still angry and nervous and even though I wouldn’t have to quit playing rugby (thankfully CyFair had a team) I was still doubtful of the future. Again I was reminded to Trust in GOD and walk forward.

Now in a flash my senior year is now almost over and GOD has opened my eyes showing me some amazing things along the way.

The Lord has now plugged me in to Cypress. From being an only child to now being a big brother of 3 different step brothers and recently a baby sister. I was also lead to work at chick fil a, finding many awesome divine appointments and friends. He has even united my rugby team in fellowship bringing us closer to him. Truly what I have witnessed here has been awesomely inspiring, but this won’t stop here…

A few months ago I was getting very comfortable with Cypress, my job, my family and even my lifestyle. I was being convicted for something else. So I started asking GOD what he wanted me to do and he lead me to a ministry called the World Race. A mission trip of 9 months in the 3 countries Thailand, Malawi and Guatemala. I am nervous and excited of what is to come but I know that the Lord will direct my steps like he did with Abraham. Abraham didn’t even know where he was going, but he had faith and just started walking.

As I embark on this trip I ask that you pray for my team and I as we head out in October! Any financial support will also be much appreciated!

Thank you for reading and GOD bless!
