So for the month I’m in Phnom Phen, Cambodia. I have been teaching english to a midwife class, teaching guitar lessons, and playing with children that live on the streets. The ministry here is fantastic, with yet another month of such welcoming people. They are overly gracious, with constant culture signs of respect, making sure we’re comforted, when in reality it’s them we want to be serving.

So what’s the scoop? Unfortunately, I’m coming to a deadline. I need to make the $10,000 dollar mark by mid-December. My total so far: $5300. I’m so blessed with what I have so far, and very grateful. I hope that whoever decides to read this, that they would pray and be encouraged to possibly help me out financially. The money that I’m raising will keep me going to these countries, to continue these lessons, awakening Christ in people that they didn’t know He was already there.

It was a shock to me when I was talking with our contact the other day about our ministry. This is her 7th year here in Cambodia, with a lot of ups and downs with things going on in her household. She has people in and out of her ministry, but she had been praying for a long time now for missionaries to come and help her. She was so thrilled to have us there, and you should have seen the smile on her face.

The time we spend in these countries is priceless. These people crave, hunger, thirst for the word of God, and it truely shows in many different ways. To be comepletely honest, I don’t want to go home because of lack of funding. I don’t want this beautiful chariot of truth and justice being short changed because of lack of funding (thus the turtles in the title). I hope and pray, the way that our contact prayed for us, that I will soon to become well funded for the trip, leading to be fulling funded. Also a shout out, I know a couple of my team members as well (Joni Viets and Pam Wilson) are in needing of funding, and I hope that it will come there way, and that you can possibly join in the ministry with us. Thanks for everyone that reads these blogs, that has supported me through the race in any way, and may God bless you all!
