We were asked to write a blog about how we felt before leaving on this mission trip. Here is what I’m expecting…
I EXPECT to be changed, and see change.
I EXPECT to see great things, both BIG and small.
I EXPECT to hear God’s call, and step out in faith to follow it.
I EXPECT to live amongst the poor, weak and sorrowful.
I EXPECT to be renewed with the love of Christ, each day.
I EXPECT to be awakened to a world outside of my comfort zone.
I EXPECT to be heart-broken, by what I see.
I EXPECT to find joy, in service.
I EXPECT to miss relationships at home.
I EXPECT to live off TRUE life necessities, rather then the comfort I am accustomed to.
I EXPECT to give my all, in all I do.
I EXPECT to be challenged in physical, emotional and spiritual ways.
I EXPECT to overcome great obstacles.
I EXPECT to make sacrifices.
I EXPECT to make life long relationships.
I EXPECT to discouraged.
I EXPECT to be Built up.
I EXPECT my views to change.
I EXPECT to see something unimaginable.
I EXPECT for my priorities to change.
I EXPECT for The Lord to work in Mighty Ways!
These are expectations that I am taking with me on this mission trip. Though I may be unsure what is in store once I leave home, I know that my God is with me always. Not only in Canada, but around the globe.
God Bless,
