You may recall in my 3 previous blog posts the theme of "am I crazy for doing this?". I still think the answer to that question is yes, but it's nice to know that all of you are crazy too! I can't believe the amount of support that has been given to Amanda and I over the past few months. You all, our support family as I shall now start referring to you, have been such a blessing as we have prepared to take this next big step in our lives. We have both been greatly affected by the prayers everyone has been offering up on our behalf as we have developed a sense of ease about our decision to particiapte in the World Race. There have been times where we have questioned our sanity and whether or not this was right for us or not and I can honestly say that it is. There is no other option for us. And it is clear to me that your prayers got us through the times that we were plagued with doubt. I am sure that we will still have our times of questioning but knowing that you, our support family, is standing strong behind us makes it easier for us to stand strong in what God has called us to do.
Many of you who have commited to praying for us have also committed with your finances. There is a saying of "put your money where your mouth is" and all of you have definitely done that. In our account, as of today, we have $9,074.20. That is amazing. Despite these hard economic times we have had many generous contributions. Our prayer is that God will put your money to good use as He sends us around the world to simply love those who are unloved.
Amanda and I are so blessed to have a crazy support family like yourselves standing behind us as we prepare for our journey ahead.
