As our first month Guatemala wraps up I thought it would only be appropriate to write a blog about my top favorite moments from this month…and I chose to do 12 things instead of 11 because I am going against the grain REBEL….enjoy.
12. This sweet little eight year old sitting next to me and poking my thigh exclaiming “mucho carne, mucho carne.” For those of you who aren’t familiar with Spanish it means “a lot of meat, a lot of meat.” Ah, but how could you be upset at this face?
11. A Guatemalan man walking past Jeanette, my teammate, and exclaiming “ah, black power man.”
10. Eating all of my meals out of a Frisbee because I forgot a bowl
9. Finding chocolate covered bananas exist
8. Getting to love on these kids all month long
7. Fitting 25 people on a 15 passenger van
6. Cooking meals for our squad with this beaut
5. Eating “authentic” Chinese food in Guatemala

2. Seeing this sweet girl get to go back home with her family
- However, all silliness aside, my top favorite moment from this month has been doing life with these six incredible women. Each one of them is incredibly beautiful from the inside and out and have hearts that beat for the Lord; constantly searching how His will can be done. Words cannot describe how blessed and unified our team is. Amazing.
