WHAT'S THE HAPS, YO!
A few things that I can't WAIT to share with yall:

1. I've officially decided that going on the World Race is legit crazy.. AWESOME. And the more and more I'm hanging here in Honduras (10 day summer mission with fam/home church) the more I'm super pumped to be here again with my amazing team!! (who[m?] i've grown to totally love over these past weeks! btw! shout out: seriously, yall rock!)

2. I had a handful of expectations of how the World Race was going to go–from training camp, to fundraising, to actually being out on the field and painting possible scenarios of how God's going to show up–and I've been told by my team as well as through reading tons of blogs that I need to disregard and toss out any expectations I have. And the more I've mediated on that, I'm starting to now understand: the more I'm looking forward to/expecting ANYTHING, the more distracted I am to pursuing and longing for the One who matters: JESUS–raw and real.
I can't cage in Christ, so I've stopped trying to. And now–the ball's in His court because I'm through expecting/longing for anything else BUT Him, AND His glory. He's going to/IS doing crazy legit things and trusting in Him and awaiting/experiencing His great hand at work is INCREDIBLE to say the least!!

3. Update from Honduras: in case you didn't guess by now, I'm currently not in the great nation of 'Murica. I'm currently in San Pedro Sula, Honduras doing medical/well-drilling/vacation bible school projects in a rural local village about an hour outside of here (Quince de Enero is it's name. Wicked cool right? Translated into English, it's January 15th–the date it was founded!). All of this to say, if yall could team up with me in some SERIOUS prayer that would be awesome.

Pray for:

  • Christ to be our center focus, driving force, worshipped and GLORIFIED through everything we do–whether that be from preaching the Gospel, to drilling for clean water, to distributing meds in the clinic.
  • Strength for all the team: our hearts, souls, minds, and physical bodies.
  • Blinded, wounded, and calloused hearts to break open tenderly and see, for beautiful ears to hear, crave, know, and accept the soul quenching, redemptive song of our Lord Jesus, the Gospel.

4. Lastly! FUNDRAISING UPDATE. dundundunnnn

⇒Would you please prayerfully consider a monthly or one time donation of $50, $100, or even $500? God's doing AMAZING things in my life, even when I totally don't deserve it. Praise the Lord for that! He's doing everything from shaping and molding my heart, breaking me of PRIDE–ugh.. and now, laying out the opportunity for me to take His Hope from here to the ends of the world. He's calling me to the field, so I'm going to step out in faith to what He has called me to do. If He's calling you to give and support, I challenge you to step out in faith, and do so. Let's live for a GREAT God together, and watch as He totally rocks the socks off this world.

ACTS 2:22-33

"Men of Israel, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know. This man was handed over to you by God's set purpose and foreknowledge and you, with the help of wicked men, put him to death by nailing him to the cross. BUT GOD raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him. David said about him: 'I saw the Lord always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will live in hope, because you will not abandon me to the grave, nor will you let your Holy One see decay. You have made known to me the paths of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence.' Brothers, I can tell you confidently that the patriarch David died and was buried, and his tomb is here to this day. But he was a prophet and knew that God had promised him on oath that he would place one of his descendants on his throne. Seeing what was ahead, he spoke of the resurrection of the Christ, that he was no abandoned to the grave, nor did his body see decay. God has raised this Jesus to life, and we are all witnesses of the fact. Exalted to the right hand of God, he has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear."
