today, my boss went to bat for me.
which says ALOT.
it took a few hours after the fact for me to process.
i started thinking about my bosses of years past.
and the terrible things they have said and done.
not necessarily to me,
although that's happened.
but to others:
employees or not.
important or not.
justifiable or not.
some people with power can be real jerks.
however, it is possible to outlast corruption.
your commitment has to be stronger than your emotions.
today, this boss:
listened to what i had to say.
acknowledged the other party's concerns.
protected my character.
and kept a client for at least another 12 months.
if this occured even a year ago,
i may have felt entitled to that defense.
so glad my eyes are now open to see Grace
and appreciate it.
thank You for being Good,
all the time.
You don't hand out pink slips.
You give raises that are invaluable.
my promotion is assured and around the corner.
i am in line behind Jesus,
