i got a spur-of-the-moment invite
to the movies with my friend
and her kid cousins.
we saw Wreck It, Ralph. in 3-D, no less.
i can't lie.
i was driving so wrecklessly to get there
the arcade gamer in me has been geeking out about this for months!
quick trip:
Ralph is a bad guy who wants to be something more.
of all things, he wants to be a hero.
contrary to what his support group says.
basically Ralph goes through a series of highs and lows, trying to prove himself.
finally, he finds out being the wreck he is earns everyone an extra life.
leave it to Walt Disney to dumb it down for us adults.
so yes, it got me thinking:
how often do we figure our mess is unfixable?
how often do we choose easy, breezy over down and dirty?
how often do we acknowlegde the bigger picture?
thank you for the wreckage that is me.
today and everyday.
i now gladly "game over"
so the Spirit can up up down down left right left right B A.
Jesus, You take it from here
AMEN
