what do you say we simply start with the facts:
my name is Cherissa, if you don't already know me.
please pronounce it "sher – ee – suh". easy!
i graduated from the Univ. of Oklahoma with a degree in zoology,
emphasis on biomedical science.
my first instinct is to pet the animal, then ask questions.
twenty-five years of age. which is nuts. where has the time gone?
my immediate family is small: mom, little brother, cat, and me.
the hierachy is in that specific order.
we reside in Houston. in Texas. where it is oh so hot. even at 3AM. i promise.
since 2006, i have worked almost daily as a vet tech at an animal hospital.
i've been to the emergency room once. for a cat bite.
it was lame as it sounds.
to say i adore interacting with animals and their humans is an understatement.
if i had it my way, vet school is the next stop.
i'd like to be called Dr one day.
even more than this, my relationship with Christ now is like oxygen.
it's the only thing that keeps me going.
He first called me His own when I was six or seven at sunday school.
Jesus was always with me.
that's why i decidedly live for Him.
there is really no way i can go back to being passive about His call for my life.
i seriously can't do it.
down with self-reliance! up with faith in God!
i truly believe i will fulfill my purpose in His kingdom!
