I’m not gonna lie, I was pretty nervous for our first night of minisry at the bars.
We had gone out earlier that day to walk around and pray and there were seriously over 200 bars in this one area.
As we were walking around and praying I just kept having the thought of “God, how am I going to make any difference in this?”
Little did I know how He was going to show me just how much He can use me in any situation, even in the bars.

The first two bars we went into were really similar. There we a lot of girls and they all tried to get you to come sit with them. We basically just talked and played games with them and tried to talk to them and get to know them.
It was hard some times to just sit there and watch the stuff that was happening. And seeing people with their families, young guys with their dad’s, young thai girls just throwing themselves at people.
..I really believe like some relationships were started and that God is going to do some big things with our group and these women in Thailand.
Fast forward to us leaving the second bar-
We decided to call it a night and just walk down the road and pray. As we began I noticed these two thai girls in the road and one of them was crying while her friend was holding her. I stopped the group and said “I really felt like I needed to point this out, maybe we should go pray for her”
and as I said that the woman started getting more hysterical so I just walked over there and put my hand on the womans head to help catch her as she started falling to the ground.
I don’t really know what was going on.. I mean we all had different thoughts. Drugs, alcohol, bad news or maybe extremely scared?
So I looked down at her and then looked around me because I had no idea what to do.
I was praying and my team was praying and all of the sudden her head fell back and her body just went lifeless.
Her eyes were wide open and the breathe just went out of her body.
She was dead.
I didn’t know how to react, so I just started crying and my team leader pulled me away and I stood with his wife and we just prayed. Other people came over and started slapping her in the face and on the back and giving her CPR as her friend was sitting there screaming “Help her! Help her!”
The rest of my team was still standing by the girl and they kept praying.
The girl started breathing again and the ambulance came and took her away.
……………………………………………………..
After the ambulance left with the thai woman, there were a couple different emotions. A little shocked and overwhelmed by what we had seen and excitement about what the Lord had done.
I believe that He did heal that woman.
I am so thankful that God allowed me to be apart of that and to see Him in the midst of all the chaos.
