¡Hola!  I’m Chelsea, 26 years old, and an Arizona native.  Above all else I love God and He has transformed my life through Jesus!  I was a slave to strongholds, but I am now a servant to the King.  I graduated from Arizona State University in 2007, on the “extended 6½ year plan”, with a degree in Dietetics.  I love nutrition, but don’t worry, I’m not the food police  🙂  It’s all about balance.  In fact, I’ve been learning that life is all about balance.  I LOVE cupcakes, hummus, and chips and salsa.
I am currently working as a nutritionist for the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program.  I have a heart for kids and the Hispanic community.  I went to Antigua, Guatemala last year in September for 2 months and studied Spanish.  I lived with a family and went to Spanish classes during the day.  I speak a lot of Spanish at work and as they say, “poco a poco”  (little by little), I am understanding and speaking more.
I have been so blessed to have godly friends in my life.  For so long I only had “surface level” friendships.  Over the past 2½ years, as my relationship with Jesus has grown deeper, my friendships have also deepened.  God has used my friends in my life to encourage, challenge, strengthen, teach, love, and grow me.

I am also very thankful for my family.  My dad went to be with the Lord when I was 13 years old.  More recently my grandpa has also been called home.  They were both men that loved God with their lives!  The Lord has showed me that He is my Heavenly Father and has filled a hole that I never thought could be filled.

I would have never imagined 2 years ago that I would be going on a missions trip for 11 months around the world.  God is good!  I am so excited to serve Him and tell others about the salvation He freely gives through Jesus.
