Dear Family & Friends,

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for the never ending support you’ve given me. From the very beginning there has been nothing but positivity as I have prepared for this journey. Now, the time is nearly hear to pack my bags, and follow through with all that I have told you. I cannot express enough, my gratitude and thankfulness for each of you. I never imagined being so close to being 100% funded, before I even launch. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! I am blown away by your generosity, and willingness to partner with me. There have been so many times, that I have opened my support account and cried, not because of worry the funds wouldn’t come, but because I can’t believe the amount that has been provided. And I know this would not have happened without those prayer warriors out there. You know who you are. The power of prayer is incredible. And I anticipate it to be even more necessary and evident while I am on the field. I know due to your prayers, I have felt an immense amount of peace this month. It was not an easy year, and even considering this mission trip was a battle for me: emotionally and spiritually. And even now, there are moments when I think, “Am I crazy?” So please: keep the prayers coming. The Lord will bless you for them.

This week has been strange for me. I have said a few final farewells already, as people are not around during the holiday season. It’s weird to think that I will not physically see you, for 11 months! I am excited, and of course slightly terrified. I remember someone once said, if you lose all nervousness, it is not nearly as fulfilling as having some nerves. (I really have no idea who said that, but I remember it.) So am I ready? Well, I still need to pack a few things. But I am so excited!

As mentioned before I will begin my journey in Ecuador. However, first I will travel to Atlanta, Georgia  (1/7) to reunite with my squad, as well as 4 other squads launching this month. And tentatively on Friday (1/9), we will launch to the nations. Quito, Ecuador is awaiting our arrival. A part of me is thinking, “why didn’t I practice my Spanish more?!” But there is a sense of excitement in all the anticipation. I received more specifics this week about our ministry for Ecuador. My team will be focusing on Casa Elizabeth & Casa Adalia. For more info: http://incalink.org/ministries/casa-elizabeth/ I am excited as Casa Elizabeth is a crisis pregnancy center. Even though this is not a medical trip, I am sure my nursing will be of use. Women’s health is a passion of mine, especially when it comes to educating them. So please pray for wisdom and discernment in this area.

Thank you again for your love, support, and prayers. I know I say this often, but I could not have gotten here without you. And that remains true through the entire trip.

Love you all!

Bendiciones!
