Tomorrow is the big day. I leave for training camp in the morning, catching an 8:30 a.m. flight to Atlanta then on to Gainesville, GA for 10 days of World Race emotional, physical, spiritual and logistical preparation for launch in August.

To be honest, I am a bit nervous. I’ve grown accustomed to this feeling whenever I take on a new adventure since it has plagued me since my youth (I mention this is a previous post). Although I am really excited to meet my squad face-to-face for the first time, there is always something a little scary about change and being vulnerable with new people. It’s an introvert’s biggest nightmare (kidding…a little.) So far, however, I have been incredibly blessed by my squad through meeting three of them on my travels and getting connected through social media with them all. They have prayed for me, encouraged me, and shared their own fears and struggles with the process. It’s been cool to see even before training camp. I know that God has something special for us as we start to walk out this thing called community.

As I leave tomorrow, I felt it fitting to write down some of my expectations for the coming week and a half.

//

I expect it’s going to be a crazy time of little sleep.

I expect it’s going to be filled with powerful and fiery praise and worship.

I expect it’s going to be filled with laughter and lots of dance parties.

I expect it’s going to be a time where God sets His children free.

I expect it’s going to equip and empower mighty warriors in Christ.

I expect it’s going to leave us hungrier for more of Him.

Join me in prayer for training camp. Pray that all of the things that God has in store for us will be released, for wisdom and discernment over the leadership/staff/squad mentors and leaders, and for the glory of God to fall powerfully to fill us up and set us ablaze for His Kingdom.

Thank you for being a part of my journey!
