Take a moment as you read this to close your eyes. Envision a land where poverty runs rampant. You and all those around you work hard everyday to bring home less than a dollar at the end of it. You struggle to feed your family and you must strive to please the gods/god who do not love you. The worst part is, there seems to be no hope. This is how life has been for those who have come before you and there is no hope it will change for those who will come after. The name “Jesus” is foreign to you, as is the hope and love that He brings. What I just described to you is reality to over 4.6 billion people who live within what is called the 10/40 Window, so named for its longitude and latitudinal location. Within this window lives 90% of the world’s poorest and over half of them have never heard the name of Jesus. Less than 0.0005% of all money for missions goes toward bringing the Gospel to this area.

It is to these people that the Lord has invited me to reach out to. In January, I will begin an incredible journey for eleven months that spans over 3 continents and 11 countries. I will join a small team through Adventures in Missions that will go where few are willing to go in order to bring the hope and love of Jesus Christ to “the least of these.” We will travel over air, land and sea to seek and save those who are lost. It has been a long and interesting journey that has brought me here, and I still find myself not believing it is happening. However, it is for these people that my heart aches the greatest. Jesus saved me in every way possible, gave me hope, and has been my greatest friend and Love. I cannot imagine a life without Him, not know that His love for me was so great that He gave His life so I could be with Him.

I want to invite you to join with me in going to the broken and hurting. In order to go, I must raise $18,000.00. That is a big number, I know, but I also know the bigness of God and this is nothing for Him. I would like to invite you to be a part of what God is doing by giving financially. Every penny is helpful and important in the advancement of God’s Kingdom. Please take some time to pray about this, and please partner with me in prayer. This will certainly be a difficult journey, and I appreciate all of your prayers more than you know. If you would like to donate, you can do so by visiting chelsearay.theworldrace.org. Click the “Support Me” tab to make a donation online. Should you prefer to donate using a check, please make checks payable to Adventures In Missions and return the response card with your donation to Adventures In Missions, PO Box 742570, Atlanta, GA, 30374-2570. The response card will provide AIM with the information necessary to send you a receipt for your donation. I am also available and would love to talk to you more about this face to face or over the phone at 719-231-5876. I will also try to follow up this letter with a phone call soon.

I am very excited for all that God has planned! I pray that I will not only be a blessing to those I am going to serve, but also to you. I would be honored to go as your representative to bring Christ Jesus to the nations. I want to thank you in advance for your prayers and financial support. May God bless you as you prayerfully consider partnering with me.
