I have changed this year. And I’m not just talking about my
personal hygiene or standards of “luxury.” The person that I am has changed. I have discovered my identity, I have
experienced intimacy with God, and I have taken on a Kingdom mindset. My old
self, scared of God’s disappointment and unwilling to receive His love, has
been put to death. While we were in Swaziland for debrief, I was baptized. Our coaches were with us for debrief so, Dave Fredricksz, walked with me into a freezing cold pool (thanks Dave!) and
baptized me. This prophetic act of being buried with Christ speaks to the death
of my old self. I walked out of that pool as a daughter of God, dead to sin and
alive to God. And this changes everything…
