We were talking today with the lady pastor in charge of the ministry and she was telling us that she was talking with Janet about us before we arrived and saying that she wanted to have the next world race team paint too. Janet told her that not every team would be artistic so she spent the next weeks praying that the team God provided would be artistic. Lucky for all of us, we have a very artistic bunch of girls to paint her murals. Carly, our girl team leader, put Sarah Peterson and I in charge of the murals. It was so neat seeing how God placed the same dreams and desires in both of our hearts. We found out that the church was called City of Joy so we decided to do a bunch of buildings with water flowing in and around them to represent God’s presence and joy. It has been so fun getting to paint in such a large scale… oh and did I mention it is in a stairway so we get to paint the steps too!
Penang has been so fun already, I can’t wait to see what the rest of this week holds! Be praying for boldness in all of us as we talk with these teens!
