Tonight, when I got home from my off day I ran to the room before dinner. On my way, I was stopped by one of the girls from the children’s home. She ran up to me and gave me a HUGE hug. I proceeded to ask her about her day and tell her that I missed her. After answering all the questions she quietly murmered under her breath that I was her misses. I, not knowing any of her language, asked her nervously what that was. Looking at me with her huge brown eyes she said “You are my love, love, love, LOVE, LOVE, love, LOVE.” With huge water-filled eyes I told her that she was my love too.

Recently I have struggled with how great the love of the Father is. I have in the last few years put these walls up around me to the love of others and the love of the Almighty. God has tenderly been reminding of his agape love for me. Today it was like He was speaking through the tender voice of a ten-year-old girl, “Chelsea you are my love, love, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, love, love….”

“Your steadfast love, O Lord, extends to the heavens, your faithfulness to the
clouds. Your righteousness is like the mountains of God; your judgements
are like the great deep; man and beast you save, O Lord.
How precious is your steadfast
love, O God! The children of mankind take refuge in the shadow of your wings
.”
