Hold on. Look at the top of this page at my fundraising bar!
I’m fully funded!!!
Between March 22, 2013, and June 26, 2014, 151 online donations (that doesn’t include the many, many more bracelet purchases!) have come in to give me $16,275 to send me to 11 countries in 11 months. This is more than enough. I needed $15,500 to cover my food, lodging, and transportation, and you have given $700 more than that!
I really can’t tell you supporters thank you often enough. Jesus said we should be able to forgive 490 times, but I don’t know how many times he’d suggest thanking people. Probably more, maybe 1000. But for now, I’ll just say it once: thank you for your support. Thank you for your generosity. Thank you for your prayers. It is such a blessing to share this adventure with so many people. God bless you all.
Here are some more numbers for you:
This year I’ve had dozens of jobs. I’ve slept in 14 beds, crossed 13 borders (or, if you count the number of times I hopped over the line between Zimbabwe and Zambia today on the bridge at Victoria Falls, 40!), used 9 currencies, got sick twice, used a dishwasher once, read 11 books, fit 26 people in a van, worshipped in 7 languages, been offered a husband 5 times, and spent 76 hours on long distance buses.
(I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve eaten rice, had things lost, stolen, or left behind, tried a new food, and walked more than a mile to get internet.)
If it weren’t for your 151 donations, none of these numbers would be possible!
Our debrief is almost over in Livingstone, and on Monday, C Squad is off to MALAWI for Month 7 of the World Race! Stay tuned, friends, and again…
THANK YOU!
