These are handmade bracelets made by the Indiana-based company MudLOVE, which gives 20% of its gross profits to clean drinking water projects in Africa (check out their website at http://www.mudlove.com/?). Which means…
ONE bracelet gives ONE person in the Central African Republic clean water to drink for a year.
To raise money for World Race and get involved in this awesome project, I've partnered with MudLOVE and am currently selling bracelets.
The money raised from these goes both to the drinking water projects in Africa, and toward my $15,500 goal (which, thanks to you, is dwindling toward $10,000 now).
Suggested donation:
$8 for one band, $22 for three bands
(You can give more or less as you feel led.)
To get one:
- Email me at [email protected] or send me a message on Facebook. Tell me which bracelets you want.
- Send a check or cash that's made out to me, Chelsea Greenwood. You can mail it or give it to me in person.
- Wear your awesome new bracelets around!
IMPORTANT:
Many of you do not live around me: that's fine! If you'd still like a bracelet, I'm happy to ship to you! I'll calculate how much the shipping is and let you know after you've told me what you'd like (it shouldn't be a lot).
These bracelets are waterproof, adjustable, and come in lots of colors. The picture above shows the different words to choose from. And to those of you who are involved with Concordia Lutheran School in Tacoma and Mount Rainier Lutheran High, my almae matres, I've got a treat for you: custom-made bands!
MRLH bands come in black or green and are printed with this year's theme, "stand firm." Wearing one is a great way to show your spirit! Non-MRLH people, you are also welcome to these! Standing firm is a reminder we could probably all use on our wrists!
The Concordia bracelets come in red or white and say "warriors," our school's mascot. Again, if you'd like a "warriors" bracelet even though you're not affiliated with the school, that's no problem at all.
Both MRLH and Concordia bracelets will soon be available to purchase at your convenience in the school offices as well- keep an eye our for them!
