I am excited about what God has planned for my team and I when we go on the World Race in September Route 1. I am new to blogging but here it goes.
I just graduated from Central Michigan (Fire Up CHIPS!) in December with a degree in Social Work. The plan is that I will eventually get my masters in Social Work but we'll see.
After college I knew that I wanted to go to other countries and serve but the question was with what organization. Over a year ago I heard about a friend whose sister who was going on the World Race. I thought that it was interesting and exciting that she was going but I didn't think much else of it. A few months ago i was reading blogs on the World Race website and they were so encouraging! Fast forward a week of me reading Crazy Love by Francis Chan and watching Passion 2012's online feeds – I applied and was accepted to the World Race!! I am called to love God and love others and I feel that going on the World Race is a way that I can do that.
Some fun facts:
I have lived in 3 states (Missouri, Colorado, and Michigan)
I think of my self as a southern girl at heart even though I live in Michigan 🙂
My family is confident that if I were to be on "Don't forget the lyrics" tv show, I would do well!
I have won a beauty contest (well I guess I should mention that I was only a year old, haha!)
God willing I'm going on the World Race in September 2012! (woo hoo!)
A few ways you can join me in this adventure is through prayer and financial giving. Having a group of people praying for me before and while my group and I are in the mission field would be encouraging to me but more importantly there is power in prayer. I will be posting prayer requests on later blogs. If you feel lead there is a link on this page called "support me" where you can give financial support.
