Ukraine was a huge month of finding God and really embarking into his presence. Before we ended the month, Monica Sowles (teammate) got baptized in the beautiful sea. It was a breezy day but a day we will never forget. As she came out of the water she lit up like a new person. I ran and embraced her with a hug. We took photos; some swam and we all just celebrated the day with Monica. I am very proud of her and her decision and the next journey God is taking her on.

We have said goodbye to the Black Sea (B.S) and have now embraced our eleventh country/tenth month- Romania. Travel day was quite the experience. We first took an 18 hour overnight train to Keiv, Ukraine, we arrived at 9 am. It was freezing. I put on my gloves, slippers, toque (for all you Americas you refer to this as a Beenie) and wore two long sleeves just to make it through the cold. The next afternoon we took a 27 hour overnight train. The train conductors
and workers woke us up about five times, to come check our passports, do room checks and find out where we are going, needless to say we got about four hours of interrupted sleep. After that we arrived in Bucharest, Romania. With a five hour wait ahead of us till our next train we all huddled in McDonalds freezing our butts off (ok living in scorching hot sun all year we are a little unprepared for this weather- I mean all I have are flip flops for shoes). We loaded onto our last train at
11pm, running to get on in time. This 8 hour train was a little tougher no beds but rather straight up seats- I think I slept about 2 hours. After 3 days of travel, 55 hours on a train and 3 nights sleeping in a train we arrived at our final destination- Timisoara, Romania.
This month we are in a house, I kind of feel like I am back home, we have our own kitchen, with a coffee maker, stove and fridge. Our ministry is with Potters house. POTTERS HOUSE is based on the verse in Isaiah 64:8 “But Lord, You are our Father. We are like clay, and you are the ; Your hands made us all. The hand of our Creator is molding our lives like the potter does with a piece of clay.”

Thank you all for your support. I could not have done this year without you. Six weeks and I will be home, this is a year filled with memories, heart breaking stories, my family who were once strangers and an experience of a lifetime I will never regret but rather embrace and tell stories of for the rest of my life.
