Every day I get this opportunity to stand and look at the beautiful view of the Black Sea. Every day I am amazed at how the ocean changes. I stand in the same spot but everyday it looks different. The clouds reflect off the sea, the sun scorches down, the rain makes the water steam, and sometimes fog fills the air so the sky and the sea emerge as one. Something I did notice was that not once have I seen the other side, but rather watch boats as they disappear into the endless path. God’s love is like an ocean. I wonder where it goes. If I stood there long enough, would I one day see the other side? Does it have an ending?
When I look into this ocean I am reminded of God’s love- His unfailing love that never
fails us. Sometime we are in the middle of the ocean and forget we are surrounded by God’s love. It is so big we get lost in it. Would it not be awesome to be lost in God’s love- to be swimming, but come to a point where you sink deeper into His love? When we sink deeper into His love, we find more mysteries to unvail and even more beauty to be seen. I think of a boat, of how we so often go out in our boat as a safe guard- it protects us and keeps us floating. But what if we were to jump in and embrace the unknown to get to the heart of it all? To find the mystery of God’s love, embracing new levels and new views of God. Just like the ocean, the surface is amazing, but underneath unfolds a whole new world, a whole new beauty.

My desire is that this endless unfailing love captures the core of who you are, like being
in the middle of the ocean and its endless beauty soaking in. God’s love comes in all forms- love of a child, love of a father, tender love, strong love, and so much more. God says, “Those who I love I rebuke and discipline” (Revelations 3:19). God so deeply loves us, and it is hard to even embrace how much he does. I sometimes find myself loving so much it literally hurts my heart and soul but guess what? God’s love is deeper. He cries, mourns, grieves, and embraces us. Watching His children learn, make mistakes, search and run to Him. His love never changes, and just like the Black Sea, it never moves or shrinks, but rather comes in different forms.
“It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres. Love never fails”

God is love. Go deeper.
