I have been stuck on this thought for a few days now. God wants our hearts our whole beings. Our every thought and desire. But I do not always surrender, and when I do it’s not easy or it takes me a long time to be conceived or act.
I desire so much, to be more then I am.
Sometime I feel I am so far from who I want to be or who God needs be to be.
Sometimes I say too much, move to fast, do not listen or act out of the will of God.
I wonder do people see my heart, my true desire or look straight to my flaws?
I wonder if I please God. God is my father, and my actions and words are not always pleasing- I delay in learning lessons, delay in doing or moving in His will.
I am just a human, a sinner, and just like a parent God always loves,
even if I question, struggle, or battle through life.
His Grace covers me
but I can’t take that for granted.
Some days I look for fulfillment in other people. I have a need to be loved, to be found. I know it is only in God we can find that true fulfilment, but some days it’s not always easy to walk in that.
So as I was pondering and praying through these things, I was listening to a song by
CALEB & SOL and it helped me understand God in a different way and to grasp Him deeper.
Here goes;
“The Gospel is a message about Jesus Christ; the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world, the anointed one of God who saves, Born of a virgin, killed on the cross and resurrected again on the third day, beloved by the fathers, yet smitten by him by our transgressions, perfectly innocent yet punished by God by our wickedness.
Jesus Christ is the only way to forgiveness, the only way to reconciliation, restoration and redemption, the only way to eternal hope, and real meaning and true purpose the only way to lasting joy, enduring hope and endless pleasure, the only way to salvation, the only way to heaven, the only way to God’s grace.
The gospel is a message about you. What will you do? What will you do? Will you examine your heart? Will you open your mind to the truth of God or discard your guilty conscience?
Will you surrender your life, your plans, your future, your hopes, your dreams, your desires, your thoughts, your actions, your words all to the Lordship of Christ? Or will you continue to deny his total call upon your life? Will you trust Jesus or will you reject his love? Will you repent of sin or preceded in vain self- righteousness? Will you be set free or live in bondage?
Will you receive grace or face justice? What will you do? What will you do?
A guilty man, set free on the account of another is that justice?
No…
That’s grace”
