I had been recently sick for a few days, in my bedroom,
sleeping away the symptoms. I was on my third day of rest and just sick of
being sick. I was reading my e-mails and got given an inspiring article. It was
on one main topic but within the one topic had many encouraging words that
could reflect into our lives. One part was a great reminder to me about asking
the question, “where is Jesus in this picture?”After I finished reading I closed
my eyes and asked that question. I saw Jesus was there, sitting on the stool in
my room singing over me. I just smile and said thank you Jesus I needed that.
Sometime we forget to ask Jesus where he is in the midst of our days. Whether
it is a rough day, happy day or a day where we just need to know Jesus is close
by. Close your eyes and ask “where are you daddy? Where are you today?”
Today I was tutoring in the local school here in the
Philippines and it was there movie day. All the kids from one class jammed into
the small computer room and we sat and watch a movie from the small computer
screen. As I looked around I saw the ten kids and I just wanted to know so I
asked. I asked Jesus where he was. He said, “You see all those kids?” I said,
“Yes Lord”, Jesus replied, “They are all sitting in my lap”. Thank you Jesus
for letting them rest in you, they are His children, He is their father.
A few years ago God showed me my favourite place to be with
him. It was in his lap, as he comforted me as my heavenly father, and I get to just be a child. Sometimes when times get tough I close my eyes and God and I have
this moment together.

In the midst of heartache, pain, persecution, brokenness, happiness,
joy, and just simple days, ASK!
“Where are you Jesus, show me?” Wherever you are He is there and
wants you to know that. This is a simple thing, but can change your day.
sit in a car all day, ask, he may be there sitting with you listening to your voice. If you’re at
a desk all day, ask, he may there massaging your back. If you’re rushing all
day to get things done, ask, he may say I am in front of you protecting you
from the things you cannot see.
