Alright so here I am on December 24, 2009. One day before Christmas, and I actually keep forgetting. People wishing Merry Christmas all around, busy stores, streets filled with cars…the BUSINESS fills the cities. My family and I, decided about three years ago, we would not do gifts for each other, but still fills the stockings every years. I like how we do things around my house for Christmas. With not having the pressure of buying gifts, we get to cook together, play games, and really give time to others around us. Every year we have a cake and sing the birthday song to Jesus, it may sound corny but it has been a tradition around our house for years. Taking time to remember Christ birth. I have been thinking about the birth of Jesus a lot this year, and how much it changed history. We are changed by Jesus, because he came to earth as a man and lived a life (that should be imitated), dying on the cross so we can have eternal life and a life set apart for God. So this birth of Jesus, should be celebrated with praise and thanksgiving. Everyone put aside the business and rush of Christmas and take time to remember Christ.
So enough about Christmas (I probably could go on for a while with that) but I want to talk about this amazing missions trip coming up. I believe we are 10 days away from being in New Zealand and I am amazed how God is providing. I have been working on the list of things to get done and really don’t have much left to cross off. I have move out of my basement suite and into my parents. I have finished school and work. All this was very hard, I love my work, roommate/best friend and so leaving was hard but new seasons are always good. I sit here done with talking about the trip and ready to be on it.
God has truly provided support, each day I stand in complete amazement. Selling my car, two cameras, did four fundraisers: two garage sales, frozen cookie dough sale and a dinner banquet. I have had over 35 people donate individually. I am completely amazed at God and all the generous giving hearts. We (because everyone is a part of this) are at approximately $9000/ $14000 US. $5000 to go, that is AWESOME! Thank you all who have supported through finances and prayers. I appreciate it so much. I have reach my goal to leave and just need to raise the rest well I am away.
If you are interested in helping me reach the end goal please press this link “support me” and donate online.
Please Keep me in your prayers and thoughts, as the journey soon begins and that Gods will for our team and the places we go are fulfilled.
May Gods hope, love and grace fill your days.
