So, it’s time to talk about a subject I am normally not all that comfortable with. The fun subject of suport raising. I am still about $1,500 away from the $10,000 deadline at the end of the month and am asking for your prayer and support. It is extremely humbling to ask for financial support for my mission trip, but it is not my trip, but God’s and I am firmly secure in the reason God has me here, and fundraising is a necessary step.
Normally, I have viewed this subject as a burden or a weight, but lately God has altered my viewpoint on this subject. What a blessing and honor it is to be able to sow into God’s mission work around the world. You have no idea the importance of your role you play when you simply give and pray. How blessed and honored God must feel when his children are obedient and give sacrificially to others because they know that their money is not their own, but is God’s, and in the end they desire for God’s glory to be made known to all the nations no matter what the cost. I can’t raise all the support myself and it would be selfish of me to try to do so. God’s beautiful plan is that I go where others can’t, and other believers give so that I may continue the work God has planned for me.
So, I am asking these things from you:
1. Please pray for my trip: safety, health, support raising, and just for God’s hand to be steadily and powerfully on me at all times
2. I believe that God will provide and is faithful, but that means that as a fellowship of believers we have to give what we are called to give, so I ask that you give cheerfully because we should all be faithful stewards of the money that God has blessed us with
3. No amount is too small, but if you can’t give personally, then I ask that you spread the word to your family, friends, church, or whoever. Maybe this might be uncomfortable, but it’s uncomfortable for me to ask you, so please humble yourself and fight with me
4. Please be intentional. If you have read this, then I know it is not by accident, and it would be easy to be burdened for a second, but then quickly forget the message of what was just read, so make it point to continue to pray with me that God’s will might be accomplished throughout the world
~Psalm 2:8, “Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage, and the ends of the earth your possession.”
Lastly, I have the best beard of my life going for me right now and I know no one wants to see that stopped.
